Our wedding day.

Anne Judd.
:)
Luckily, my hair stayed nice and perfect through the short night, and all I had to do was reapply makeup and get dressed and out the door! Oh, along with all my luggage. We decided to take our pictures before the ceremony, hoping the lighting would be better than at midday. Our ceremony was to begin at 11:40 am. AJ and Jacie picked me up and we were off to meet my groom at the temple. Panic struck when what to my eyes does appear, but traffic at a standstill at the bottom of Parley's? As AJ says, if I was to have had "bride moment" that would be it. I was seriously panicking. I wanted out of that vehicle! I started looking around from side to side, touching the windows, wondering what in the heavens we were going to do! We were already late, and we had to check in with the temple, change into my wedding dress and then find Tim. There wasn't time for this traffic nonsense!! I called home to have them look up the traffic report. Nothing. I was honestly ready to RUN to the temple by the time 5 minutes passed and... wonderfully! Traffic started moving! At an incredible rate! Later we found out they were doing some explosion thing at the mine or whatever it was in the canyon. Thank goodness. I wish I could say that by the time I met up with Tim I was back to a blissful state of being. Unfortunately I got more stressed and irritated as the proceedings at the temple took far too long in my opinion, and I couldn't find Tim right away. It was all rather confusing and time consuming. Thank GOODNESS for my guardian angel of a grandma. I didn't even know she was meeting us there, but there she appeared all in white (she works at the SL temple and did much of my arranging for me) and saved my fried nerves. Well, after stressing Tim out and beating him for not wearing the right shirt, we got to taking some pictures. all was well! Here they be:

And then... We got married! Hitched! Tied the Knot! Sealed for time and all eternity! In the Salt Lake LDS temple, by my grandpa, Rulon V. Judd. Temple weddings are just perfect! Full of the spirit, simple, short, surrounded by all your loved ones in a beautiful room inside a beautiful building. It's fun to be the bride and hangout in the gorgeous brides' room and be pampered :) I'm not sure I could fully wrap my mind around reality as I knelt across the alter from Tim. But now that I've had a few months to digest it all, its the best :) It is a surreal thing, to be unmarried on second and then bam! Married the next! I am a lucky girl. My grandpa was able to give me my patriarchal blessing AND seal me to my eternal companion. He said some beautiful words and led the ceremony gracefully. He brings a great spirit with him wherever he goes. He recited a poem, the only words of which I remember are: don't you ever quit. (The poem was not about marriage... but he related it to it..... I need to get that from him.) He reminded us to come to the temple often, and he reminded us how blessed we were to be surrounded by such amazing friends and family. I wish I could remember every word he said, but alas, there are many emotions happening those 20 minutes or so! It's so hard to take every detail in. I remember feeling peace, and overwhelmingly blessed by seeing all these kind, smiling faces around us. I remember staring into Tim's eyes and being so excited that it was finally happening! I was for real being married to my best friend! We both said "yes" when it came our turn, we exchanged our rings and got lots of hugs from everyone in the room. My dad and Tim's dad were our witnesses. I am sure there were many from the other side watching us that day too. I just know it. I love holding Tim's hand or hugging him, and knowing that he is mine forever, because of the temple ordinances and priesthood authority. I love this boy.
