hey annie j: HAWAII 2012!!!!!

Told ya I just traveled for a few weeks ;)

J Judd and I found amaaazing deals on flights way back in April to go visit Ky on the island! It was an intense night we bought those tickets... sheesh. Never made such an expensive impulse buy. But I would NEVER trade it for the world!

This trip was a complete blast, we had so much fun and it was so perfect to end the summer. We drove to St. George on a Saturday and then stayed with Tim's family that night. We went to church and then grabbed our things and were off to the Vegas airport. What happened next still makes me nervous to this day! We were a tad tighter on time than I'd have liked, due to us picking up Tim's friend for the ride. Well imagine my nerves when we finally get 20 minutes outside St. George and we see traffic for MILES at a COMPLETE stand still. Ho-ly moly. I seriously THANK my lucky starts that we DID pick up Tim's friend Branson that day and that he knew the back way to Vegas. I thank my lucky stars that we realized we had to turn around about a mile before we no longer could. I thank my lucky stars that Branson had a cop detector and that Tim is a daring driver. Lastly, a thing I never thought I would be thankful for, I am thankful the Hawaiian people are often late. We flew the rest of the way to Vegas and arrived through the doors of the airport with 4 minutes until our flight was to leave. LEAVE people, not start boarding. Luckily I had calm people around me this whole time or I would have started having an anxiety attack the moment we first met bad traffic. I held it together quite nicely in my opinion. Until I saw the giant line for security. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH i was so nervous that the plane would leave us and the trip we had looked forward to SO much and we would have to tell Kylie it was all ruined. Flip. We got through that long line as fast as we could and full out sprinted with all our carry on luggage to find our terminal. Only to discover that we had to take one of those underground train things to another terminal! Oh the nerves. After waiting for what seemed like eternity the train showed up and we piled in. Only to discover some drunk weirdys who tried to hit on us. Strange people in the world. They kept my mind off my daunting thoughts of missing the plane though thats for sure. The train zoomed us to our terminal and the intercom was announcing the closing of the flight doors. I don't know how we made it. The feeling of relief as I sat in those squishy airplane seats... oh my gosh. I was sweating. But so dang relieved. Thank you to those kind Hawaiian airlines flight attendents. THey are the sweetest. We were on our way to HAWAII!!!!!!!!!

These girls have given me the best of memories. I am the luckiest. We laughed our heads off everyday, just like we have our whole lives together. We all got to stay in Ky's house and it was nice to play all day and then gather in J and I's room and talk all night. We missed Linz! She is the one thing that would have made this trip better. But honestly, loved every minute of exploring the island with these two. Never a dull moment :)

Again. Coolest hike.

Heaven was literally opening on whatever
town this is.

The "pillbox(es)" hike is a hike on the East (if I have my directions right) side of the island, that has a couple old bunkers (pillboxes) aligning the top of the mountains. As you can see people have artfully decorated them :) Some people hate grafitti. I love it. I wish I could do it. We took soooo many pictures up here, as usual. It was a brilliant sight to see, and so many photo opportunities! We would have stayed all night if the sun would have let us.
