Lake Powell!

Jill is so nice. She invited me to Lake Powell with her family in June. A. I love boating and had not been in forever. B. I had never been to Lake Powell or on a house boat. I was so in!!! I took a week off work and we road tripped down to southern Utah. Um, time of my life!!!!!! There is nothing like boating I swear, being out on glassy water, cruising with the wind blowing by, feeling the warm sun! Ah! I just love it. I can't get enough! I'm so lucky to have such awesome friends that invite me to go boating with them. (Ky and Jill) It was way hot down there, but I escaped with hardly a sunburn! I was just tan! I love being tan. The first day we rode on the top of the house boat out to our spot, and anchored in. We jumped some cliffs and swam out to the little island. It felt so nice to be free from all my cares and just relax! No time restraints, no paperwork to fill out, just the beautiful scenery and good company. We had delicious food and played lots of fun games. I got to wakeboard and SURF!!! I had never surfed behind a boat before, but it was so awesome! So, so fun. We also tubed, which I love also. Jill's brothers and cousins are professionals, they were super fun to watch do flips and tricks on the wake board. I wanted to wake skate but never ended up doing it. I learned how to make bracelets and spent some time doing that. We did a little bit of adventuring the red rocks, but not much. The water was rising just as fast as the news said it was! It was crazy. The water was quite warm, and quite dirty, compared to the ocean :) I had fun getting to know Jill's family, they were so nice to let me come along!

The COOLEST thing happened one night! We were just sleeping (well, I guess I had just gone to sleep, someone was up and woke the rest of us up) and Jill wakes me up to see FLOATING LANTERNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, JUST like  Tangled!!!!!! No joke. They were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were tons and tons of them and they just kept coming over the hill above our camp. I should have taken a picture, but I was so taken back by their beauty it didn't even cross my mind! They were legit though. We wanted to go over to the other camp all week and ask them how to make them, but we never did. I want to make them though! It would be soooo fun and so cool! 

Also another night, Amber was beating up Christian and Ian and their grandma threatened to come over and beat them all up. That was comical.
