California

At the end of the summer, I was the luckiest girl and got to go on a trip to California with Ashlee Kay. Whenever I visited her we would dream about our travel destinations, but one day she text me and asked me if I actually wanted to make one of them a reality! Um, YES! I had never been to Cali! I was as excited as a little kid. It was the most chaotic trip of my life, don't think someone could plan for as many things as went wrong in our 4 days there, but SO worth it. I loved it, chaos and all.
Redondo Beach pier, first stop!
Ash's cousin Kristi and her boys and niece picked us up at the Long Beach airport, then we stopped at a shop to get something for Ash's beloved adorable puppy, Chica. My girl Ash is a shopaholic.

Then we got to go to the pier!!! OH how grand it felt to be back at the oceanside! I wanted to cry a little bit! Definitely tugged at the heartstrings and made me miss HI big time, but I was sooooo happy to be there! The sights were beautiful and made my heart sing! It was so calming to be back on a beach again, it felt like home. Slightly different than North Shore, but I'm not complaining. More shopping to be done here! The boys wanted the arcade, I rode a fun tilt-a-whirl where I screamed the whole time, and got interviewed by some weird gameshow.

Look at these beach babes :)

THE BIRDS OFF FINDING NEMO!!!

In memoriam of Ashlee's grandparents

Ah, beauty.
The next day Julia and Ash and I headed to 6 Flags Magic Mountain! BAM baby, hit up my love for amusement parks! Minus the large amounts of people and waiting half your life in lines. Holy thrills though!!! Oh jeez. Superman, Viper? X2, I can't remember what else we went on but they were all INSANE. We were tired girls. Took JuJu to Wendy's for her first time (WHAT craziness is that!) and headed for home. How I love Utah "traffic" compared to CA traffic.

Cool steps at the park!

Supermand ride was fantastic

The next morning we went to breakfast with Lisa, Jules, Uncle Don and then went to Hollywood! Saw the stars, took pics with celebs, more shopping.

Judas, I had to edit out Miss Ashlee!

Linda had a cake made for us!!! So cute. And gave us San Pedro bears.
Had a family dinner at Kristi's
We got to stay with Kristi and her cute family, they were SO incredibly nice to us. We just came in and took over everything, and they were so awesome about it. I loved them immediately and now count them as my extended family. So generous, so much love. They, and Ash hold a very special place in my heart. They taught me a lot and I loved spending time in their home. Gash I wish we lived closer. Can't wait to go back when Sam has her baby next year! And I am soooo grateful for Ash and her mom letting me tag along on the trip! They are the sweetest people and I love them to death.
