Cooking Adventures!

Stick uncooked noodles through sliced hot dog.

Cook.

=Hairy Hotdogs. Hahaha sounds disgusting, so much fun to make! Hot dogs are delicious in mac and cheese, and home made mac and cheese is great.

I have decided that I love cooking and baking and experimenting in the kitchen! I wish I could do it everyday! I love times that I can just take as long as I want and cook whatever I want, something awesome that I have never tried before or an old favorite that I love. My mom has been trying to teach me to bake bread because she is a master and I love bread with all my heart. So, I'm slowly learning the art. We made some buttery rolls that pull apart and I made an awesome pull apart orange roll bundt thing and I made cake pops for my birthday! I also made rainbow pancakes! I didn't cook as much as I wanted to over the summer because it's so hard to cook for just one person, maybe two if Ally or Gram was home. And I wasn't really home to cook either. I have a bunch of recipes I want to try though. Photographing food is fun.

Not the full rainbow... It was just me eating.
Come over so I can feed you the whole rainbow!

OH MAN me and Jo made EMPENADAS!!!!!!!!! My grandma is so nice. She spoils me. We were just looking through a tupperware magazine and I got all excited about an empenada press because I had them in Peru and I freakin loved them. Well, that awesome grandma bought me that awesome empenada  press. Joli went on her mission to Chile and has traveled all over South America so we decided we would try out the empie press! She was much help. I had to buy special ingredients and it was so fun!

Rolling and cutting the dough

Then you fill it, and fold and press!

We made a turkey/chiles and stuff filling.
Then we also did cheese ones and a
mixture of cheese and meat and then a
dessert one with dulce de leche and bananas
and pecans and cinnamon sugar. YUM.

The first bite.

Dessert one.

The orange rolls

I made this when Brother Matheson and his wife Kristine came to dinner at my house. Soooo good to see them. Brother Matheson is a person I have learned from continually since the day I met him. He has been an answer to many prayers and just a fantastic mentor in all respects.

Are you ready? CAKE POPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm obsessed with them. They took me FOREVER, meaning from when I got off work at 4:30 until like 1:30 in the morning. Next time I will know what to do to make it more organized. I want to make more!

PUMPKIN WAFFLES!!!!!!
Latest trend her in Washington Utah...
Linz's mom makes these and they are soooo delicious! I have been craving them, so we had to make them! They are super good. Especially with the buttermilk syrup... mmhmmm! Also good with chocolate chips! And bananas!
We have also been making a lot of smoothies which I love with all my heart. Did you know Yoplait makes a frozen smoothie mix? I didn't, but I do now and I love it!
We also bought fresh peaches and made peach rasberry (Walmart sells frozen bags of rasberries...  didn't know that either) that were amazing! (with our special indgredients vanilla and cinnamon of course)
Labor Day we also made.......... Hairy Hotdogs!!!!!! (see top photos... don't know why they added there)

Look I curled Linz's hair!
This buttermilk syrup would make anything taste great.

We're addicted.

Yummy ice cream sandwich/whipped cream/choc/caramel dessert for Linz's shower

Pink layered sandwiches for linz's shower!

And Jill and Ky and I made home made pizza from scratch!
