EPIC!

Just wanna post about this day in history... I was alive! Witnessed it! MADE A WISH!
Usually I think things like this are cliche and overrated but seriously! This is really cool! I went to the temple today and it was just bursting with couples tying the knot on this cool date.

To celebrate, Linz and I watched Soul Surfer, ate pina colada and red velvet Krave and made wishes!

Wishing away!
Just a few other happenings lately...

The other day this family came into Krave, parents and a little boy and girl (maybe 4 and 6, if that) and only the parents got frozen yogurt. As they were getting them the little ones were being so good and just asking so nicely to please let them have some too. The mom's reply was, "Nope, only adults can eat sugar this late, you have to go home and take a bath." It was so sad! The little boy wrote on the marker board-- "Mom you are mean." It broke my heart! Then a few minutes later he and his sister were writing, "Mom I love you, I'm sorry, you are so nice, please forgive me" etc etc! I wanted to scream and tell her to pay attention to her children that were begging for her love! First of all, you cannot bring kids into a shop filled with ice cream and candy and eat it all in front of them. Second of all, things like this SERIOUSLY affect kids! They remember things like this very well, if only subconsciously, but instances like this shape how they feel about themselves and their views on the world. No parent is perfect and all kids have memories they wish didn't happen I think but... little stuff like this can be avoided. What can I say... the kids always get me. This is a small thing in comparison the other insane stories I have heard about parents lately but why not do all you can to improve yourself in any aspect, whether big or small, and ESPECIALLY the small things! If that made any sense at all.

MY APPEAL WENT THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank freaking goodness. All hope in the academic system is not lost. Just the very large, ridiculous majority.
