Fall Birthdays

This is a little unfair but I wrote my feelings for my mom in a post last year... and honestly I don't know how to say anymore about how wonderful she is. Words can only explain so much. So I hope revisiting that post (here) will count as my birthday recounting for this year of birthday shout outs.

Along that same line, I sure hope I haven't missed anyone's birthday that I didn't want to miss. But I've been horrid at blogging so it's tough to keep up.

My father in law sure had a birthday a few months ago! I admire this guy so much. He has welcomed me into his family whole heartedly and I appreciate it beyond words. I feel blessed to have a good relationship with him and his family and know that they accept me as who I am. Sometimes it is hard to fit in to a new group, and they have loved me into their group the whole way! Something I really love about him is the way he respects my opinion. He may not always agree with me but he is very good at letting me speak my mind and having a conversation about any difference of opinions. Now I'm not saying we have all these different views and what not, but in the few occasions where I have not necessarily agreed with him or someone else around us, he is always the first to say, "What do you think?" And he doesn't judge me or put me down for saying what I believe. I love the conversations we can have as a family and all feel comfortable stating our views. I'm thankful to him for his complimentary attitude, one that Tim has learned from him. He is so kind and good to Tim and I. I'm glad we live close to Dan and Ruth and grateful they let us into there home weekly, if not more! I'm grateful for the way he respects Tim and the way he looks out for everyone of his children. It's so plain to see how much he cares about them.
