Californiaaaaa

Our besties moved to Cali for the summer! How rude huh? BUT we got to go visit them! Tim had work meetings most of the week, so he went out there on Tuesday and I drove out on Thursday. It was the perfect vacation! We had so much fun, enjoying new places and time to do whatever we wanted.

The first night we got to stay in this AMAAAZING beach house. 11 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, over 20 couches, 2 hot tubs, 6 car garage... the works. RIGHT on the beach! It was sooo gorgeous and we had the house almost to ourself, Tim's coworker and his family were the last ones there from their family reunion the week before. It was so FUN! Tim got to fish right off the rocks below the house and we got to watch the sun go down over the ocean from a nice warm hot tub! I was in love! Could have stayed for weeks!

 Friday Tim had worky work... so I bummed around the beach house... OH boy. I just remembered this tiny factor that I locked our keys in the trunk. Had to call Triple A, unlock the doors, still couldn't pop the trunk due to electric factors that I don't understand, were going to have to tow the freaking car to a dealership to get a new key made... Until Tim and Google saved the day! There is some wiring thing you can do to pop the trunk and after a little heart ache.. TaDa!! So happy!

After that minor issue... I packed up and headed to McDonalds to use some wifi and work for a while. And then... well... I still had some time so what else was I supposed to do but stop by this huge amazing mall? It was glorious. Tim called me around 3 to tell me he was done working but I basically told him to go golfing with his coworkers so I could keep shopping... I had fun :)

We then went shopping together at the GIANT outlet mall... Tim picked up a few good items! We had dinner at a rather disappointing Italian place and booked a hotel for that night.

Saturday morn we had breakfast at the hotel and stopped by the outlets again real quick just to make sure we didn't need anything else. Then we decided to head down the coast to an aquarium and so we would be closer to Huntington Beach to meet up with Chad and Linz later. We took our sweet time driving the scenic route on Pacific Coast Highway, beautiful, peaceful drive!

 We made it to Long Beach and were pretty hungry! We ate at Famous Daves and then on to the aquarium! We could have spent hours and hours there I think... but we only had enough time to stay for 2 ish. It was a super cool aquarium, not one of those lame ones that leaves you disappointed. We were entranced the whole time!

We hit the road again to Huntington Beach to meet up with Chadsay (their celebrity name of course). HAPPINESS to spend time with them again! We sure miss them, especially in the summer.  We did a little shopping and then played at the beach for a bit, but it wasn't the warmest.

We were going to go bowling or see a movie... but when we were driving back to Corona we got sooo tired! We ended up just chatting at Linz and Chad's apartment for a while and then falling right asleep. It was so good to catch up with them! I wish so badly that we could have stayed longer. They are busy peeps though, we wouldn't even see them if we would have stayed. Sunday morning we went to Sacrament meeting and to lunch at a yummy restaurant! Then back to the STG for us.
