Literally, this is a post about a baby who was born in Vegas.
Her name is Kylie Marie. Luckily for us the kind passengers on her first flight, just a few days after she was born, chose Kylie instead of Amber. How cute is that story?
I didn't know Ky until about 13 years after that... but I am OVERJOYED with the fact that she appeared in my life when she did. Ky is such a happy place in my heart. Anyone who has met her knows she is a sweetheart. I get that allll the time when I talk with people about her--and it's true. She is just
sweet. Plain and simple, and the best of a compliment. She'd never hurt a soul and has the tenderest heart! She is just like her mom in that way. Her heart is ginormous :) I love that about Ky, because it means that she cares genuinely about people and always wants what is best for them. But it also means that she puts her heart and soul into everything she does. She has a passion that can light a fire within everyone around her. I have noticed this throughout our friendship--if Ky is excited about something--so am I, and so is everyone within reach. She makes living life fun and exciting and her and mine sense for adventure are always a combination for a good time! Ky and her family have opened their home to me, and anyone who knocks at the door, a million times. I am so grateful for that. I am grateful for the overwhelming spirit Kylie carries. She literally shines! I am grateful for her confidence, her goofy side, her contagious laugh and her personality that I have watched open up so much since our first meeting in 8th grade. Recently, I am most grateful for our time in Hawaii together. I would not trade that for the WORLD and there is not a person on the earth that I'd have taken that adventure on with besides Ky. Everyone thinks that tropical island of Hawaii is all beaches and palm trees... but let me tell ya when you are out there alone, far away from your family and everything you know... sometimes it's hard! I LOVE that Kylie was there for me that whole year. We had an absolute blast and I seriously treasure those times. I am so proud of her for graduating from BYUH this spring. She is a dedicated girl and a huge example to me. She is going to touch thousands of lives through her social work. Those people are so lucky.
We celebrated her 21st birthday with a trip to where she began;) Thanks for the fun trip Ky, love you!!
