Newness

Lots of new things happening in our lives right now!

I got a new job! This was like 2 months ago but... Whatever. I love it! I have soooo much to learn but I like learning it and I love the people there! I have been working there and continuing to work at Krave a few nights a week, but this past week I decided to put my two weeks in to Krave. I have loved my job at Krave and the people I have met there, but man I was getting exhausted working 13-14 hour days! I'll miss my friends there (and the treats of course) but it is a relief to only have to focus on one job! Jobs are such a huge blessing and I look forward to all the good things I will learn at Ydraw! I feel blessed to be here and am so excited about the company as a whole. Check it out!!

We work pretty hard...
Hardwood Hoops are the best!

This... means SUMMERTIME!!
NO SCHOOL!! We're FREE!
It still feels weird to be so free...
But it's so great!

Talk about NEW things!
Running a marathon is definitely new!
Tim has always wanted to run the St. George Marathon. I, on the other hand, told myself I would just do a half marathon and call it good. But then, the final day for registration came and I found myself staring at the image on my computer screen that said "Registration Complete Thank You!" Ughhhh my heck! I was in shock! I was sweating just sitting there, I was so nervous. But now I am totally excited! Tim and I have been training for two weeks now, and though its challenging it is enjoyable. We get to spend mornings working out together and we help each other out of chairs/cars/bed when our sore muscles are screaming. We've got a long road ahead of us, literally, but I can't wait to do this with Tim!

When I was considering whether I should sign up or not, I had the thought cross my mind that the real, root reason I didn't want to do it was pure laziness. I didn't want to wake up early! I didn't want to run far! I didn't want to be slow and sore! Basically I was telling myself: I don't want to put forth effort! And then, I think this is what finally made me sign up--I was not going to NOT do something purely because I was lazy! That is ridiculous! And I never want that to stop me from doing anything, whether it be working, schooling, exercising, parenting or whatever. That is a horrible excuse. So, I signed my lazy bum up and now I am so glad I did. I won't lie and say that it's easy to pop out of bed in the morning--cuz it's not. But it's rewarding, and I feel good. I am young and healthy and I have no reason not to do something amazing with my cute husband! It is a reminder to me to examine the reasons I have for NOT doing something. Are they valid? Or is it laziness that is holding me back? Or some other negative feeling, like selfishness? I think I have a lot of negative feelings that keep me from doing great things, so here's to running that habit right out of my system and living life fully!

We moved!
This is our cute little casita that we have rented from Dustin and Holly
for the past 7 months. This was a fantastic first home for us and
it will always hold a little place in my heart! We loved living next
to our cute nieces, in a nice neighborhood and in a great ward.
We're grateful for the fun memories we have there and the blessing of having a home!
This summer we will be house sitting for a good family friend,
and holy cow we don't know what to do with ourselves and all
the space! We have an OVEN!! (nonexistent in the casita) The first
time I grocery shopped and realized I could buy ANYTHING in the store
and have a place to cook it---oh heaven!! I can't wait to bake up some
cookies and casseroles and cakes and... anything! Yay for
simple pleasures!
