I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!
It is probably one of the best weekends of the year. Two weekends, that is.
Tim and I drove up north to enjoy the festivities!
First stop was his Moscow mission reunion, for which we baked:
yummy peanut butter cookies!
We stayed that night in Coalville, Tim got to see Coalville in all its deadrightafterwintertime glory! It was fun to show him where I grew up and spent my time and the town I love so much! We watched the morning session of conference at my house, then headed to SLC to:
- limericki! i got a new swimsuit that is adorable!!!! I love it! And I also love Tim for waiting so patiently while I tried on a million swim suit varieties.
- City Creek! That new shopping center is amazing! It is so fun! I would like to go when there are less people... but still, I am so amazed at how different downtown is! The new Harmon's Grocery is quite impressive as well! We met Linz and her fam downt there too. It's a fun place to be, with lots of shops I must revisit soon...
- Zupas! I'd never been, but I'm glad I have now! It's yummy.
- Tim went with his brother to Priesthood session and Wendy's (family tradition) And I went to visit my Joli!!!!!!!!!!
I just love Joli, as I have mentioned a million times before. We can just talk and talk for hours and hours. We hung out at her house, ate at Santa Monica Pizza, talked forever :) I love that girl.
We stayed with my grandma that night, and got some good chats with her in as well! She is soooo kind to let me come in and out of her house any day, any time.

As we were walking to the conference center, I had a cool experience. At conference time there are always hecklers around Temple Square. I really don't like that and I wasn't looking forward to it. I am fully okay with people each believing what they would like to, but the things they were saying were crossing a line. As we were crossing the street on West Temple, one guy was yelling something or other about the gospel not being true. But right at that same time, a clear voice in my head said, this gospel is true. It was said strongly, truthfully, and so clearly it could not be mistaken. I felt it through my whole body and definitely in my mind. But it wasn't my own thoughts! Though I do fully believe that, it was a voice coming from the Holy Ghost, the confirmation of the spirit and my Heavenly Father watching out for me. The gospel IS true!
Ah, the temple. Love that place. Seriously, all temples are gorgeous, but everytime I look at the Salt Lake temple it honestly takes my breath away with its beauty and magnificence!
Also, bought these shoes for 9 bucks! Yes! I have needed black heels for much too long.
Short, quick, enjoyable weekend!
