This would be a laundry shoot. A CHILD'S DREAM is what it actually should be called!!!!!!!!!!! Ever since I had seen laundry shoots in movies, I had coveted them. Call it the greatest sin of my life, but I wanted one with all my heart. When I discovered J had one, we HAD to go down it just like in the movies! It wasn't even a legit slidy one like the movies, it was a one story drop, with twisty corners and tight squeezes. BUT STILL. We all know what Annie is like when she gets ideas in her head. I'm pretty sure I begged and begged J to let us do it and finally she gave in but only if we were super secretive about it and never let her mom find out. YES! This became pretty much a daily occurrence after the first time. It was like an addiction! The challenge was just too much to pass up--get down the shoot with out getting stuck or seriously injured, AND do it completely in secret. Every time we made it down it was like a little personal victory and we celebrated and felt so accomplished! I remember the first time thinking I might die in there because I couldn't figure out how to get unstuck. But then we became pros, and even figured out that if you put a pillow at the bottom, life is better.
Well J text me this picture the other day and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I love this memory with J. She said she thought that still to this day her mom had no idea about that. So she told her, and her mom's response was, "Na ahh. You did not!" Haha! "Where I was???" J and I have no clue, but she was always somewhere in the home. Hahahahaha we are just too awesome. Laundry shoots are a really good invention. We spent hours and hours and hours climbing up and down it. I want one in my house. And I will teach my kids how to go down it. Thanks for the memory J! I'll never forget this one. It's far too good. I don't know how we were ever little enough to fit in that thing. But I have this strange desire to see if I could still do it...
